Do not forget to omit irrelevant information. Irrelevant information such as political affiliation, religion and sexual preference and the things you hate about your previous employer will not help you. In fact it might even hurt your chances of landing an interview. Just skip it. In everything you do, always inspect what you expect. This means proofreading everything you've written. One small slip could ruin your chances of getting that job.
